Frequently asked questions

How far should I sit from a 4K TV?

For 4K, about 1.2–1.6 times the screen diagonal in inches gives a comfortable distance for most viewers. Example: a 55-inch screen suggests roughly 170–225 cm from the eyes to the panel.

Is viewing distance different for Full HD (1080p)?

Yes. Lower resolution is easier to see pixel structure up close, so sit farther—often about 1.6–2.5 times the diagonal. Select your resolution in the tool; 4K allows a closer sofa without eye strain for most people.

How high should the TV be mounted?

Centre the screen near seated eye level, usually about 100–110 cm from the floor to the middle of the panel. If you mount higher above a fireplace, increase distance slightly or use a tilting bracket to reduce neck strain.
