Frequently asked questions
What does curtain fullness mean?
Fullness is the ratio of fabric width to rod width when the curtain is gathered. 2× fullness means the cloth is twice as wide as the track; 2.5–3× looks richer on living-room windows. Enter your target ratio to calculate total fabric width.
Which curtain length should I choose?
Sill length clears radiators; apron length sits about 15 cm below the sill. Floor length meets the floor cleanly; puddle adds extra fabric for a formal look. Add rod drop above the frame when measuring total drop.
Why add side overlap beyond the glass width?
Extending 10–20 cm per side beyond the window blocks light gaps when curtains are closed. Include overlap in the rod width calculation so panels meet in the middle without exposing the glass.
