Frequently asked questions
Why is the wallpaper estimate approximate?
Pattern matching, corners, sloped ceilings, and obstructions increase waste beyond the 10% allowance. Bold repeats need more drops aligned at the same point; plain papers need less spare length.
How does pattern repeat affect the number of rolls?
Each drop must start at the same point in the repeat, so strip height rounds up to a multiple of the repeat size. Enter repeat height in centimetres; use 0 for plain or textured wallpaper without a directional pattern.
Should I order an extra wallpaper roll?
Order one spare roll for patterned paper or large rooms so you can match future repairs. For small plain rooms, the rounded roll count from the calculator is often enough if walls are simple rectangles.
